Crostata della Carla
- 400 g flour
- 200 g sugar
- 150 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 package/ 1 tbsp. vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- zest from half a lemon
- 1 package baking powder
- 3 tbsp. of strawberry jam /or any other jam of your liking - of course you can add more
preheat your oven to 160°celsius air circulation (or 180° celsius top/bottom heat)
take a round springform pan and grease it with butter and spread ground hazelnuts/almonds or breadcrumbs
now mix the first 6 ingredients, then add the baking powder and knead properly.
take a good 2/3rd of the dough and fill it into the pan. Spread evenly and make it a bit higher on the rim.
Spread the jam evenly and then roll out the leftover dough on a slightly floured surface.
Make whatever forms/patterns you like and add them on top of the jam.
Bake in the oven for around 50 minutes and let it cool in the oven for another 10 minutes, before you take it out.
