sauce alla vodka with chicken

  • 400 g chicken breast cut in pieces
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 can peleed tomatoes pureed
  • a good sip of vodka about 50-100ml
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • heat 1 tbsp. olive oil in a big pan and add the onions.
  • when the onions are glazed, add the chicken and fry until almost cooked
  • now pour the rest of the oil and the flour, stir thoroughly. the flour will coat the chicken, but that´s fine, don´t worry.
  • when the oil and the flour are merged, add the milk and stir some more until the sauce has the consistency of a nice vanilla sauce. Maybe you will have to add another sip of milk
  • now add the tomatoes and the vodka and let cook for a couple of minutes.
  • add salt and pepper to taste.
  • serve with minced basil and freshly grated parmesan. You can eat it with pasta, zoodles, bread...
