spicy stir-fry with chorizo and chicken

  • 400 g chickenbreast cut in pieces
  • 50 g chorizo cut in pieces
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 can/glass of grilled red pepper not in oil
  • 1 small can of chickpeas around 220g netto
  • 1 dash of white wine or broth
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika powder sweet
  • 250 g rice I used risotto rice, but you can use whatever you like


  • first put the rice on the stove so it can cook, while you prepare the other things
  • take a big pan and fry the chorizo first on high heat for around 2-3 minutes. You don´t need to add oil, because the chorizo is providing enough fat already.
  • Add the chicken and also cook it for another 2-3 minutes on high heat. Then turn the heat to medium and add the onion, the garlic, the paprika powder and salt and pepper to taste.
  • fry and stir until the chicken is cooked.
  • Now deglaze with a dash of white wine or broth and add the chickpeas and the grilled peppers.
  • Stir and fry until everything is hot on low heat.
  • When the rice is cooked, fill it into the pan and stir everything together. Add more paprika, salt and pepper if needed.
