soak the toast in water and wring slighty. It´s okay, if it´s still a bit wet
now mix the meat with half of the onion and the other ingredients and add salt and pepper to taste. I use about 2 tsp. for this amount of meat.
shape an oval form and heat some oil in a big pot or roasting dish. When it´s hot enough put the meat inside and fry brown from all sides.
When three sides are done, add the other half of the onion and also fry them until light brown.
Now add the broth, the tomato paste and the herbs and spices. You can use a spice egg if you wish.
Bring to boil and then turn down the heat to medium an let simmer for around 40 minutes.
During this time you can prepare the sides.
When the meatloaf is cooked - you know it´s cooked, if you gently press t down from the top with the back of a spoon and it doesn´t give in more than a tiny bit - you can thicken the sauce with starch and add more salt and pepper if needed.
